Key statistics (2026)
- Marketplace selling fees in 2026 range from 3.4% to 20% of gross order value, a near-6× spread between the cheapest and most expensive channel.
- Poshmark charges the highest flat commission of any major marketplace: 20% on orders of $15 or more.
- eBay takes $8.09 of a typical $58 order (13.9% of gross): its 13.25% final value fee applies to the item plus buyer-paid shipping, plus a $0.40 per-order fee.
- Etsy's "6.5% fee" really costs sellers ~10.3% once payment processing (~3% + $0.25) and the $0.20 listing fee are counted.
